I have been workng with clay since 2008, when I started taking classes at The Potter’s Studio in Toronto. In 2012, I was accepted as a member of The Potter’s Studio, a co-operative studio with 50 members. Additionally, I have my own small studio in Jackson’s Point where I work from May until mid-October each year.
My passion is functional pottery. I love taking a ball of clay and creating an object that has purpose. Art that can be used and enjoyed in a person’s everyday life.
I learn something new with every piece I make. There is so much involved in the process that it never gets old. My skills have developed through numberous classes and workshops in Toronto and online, as well as through courses at Haliburton School of Art + Design. It is an ongoing journey but one that I embrace.
