Artist Ellen Downe is a graduate of Georgian College Design Arts program, where she majored in Textile Design.

She is currently painting in acrylic and oil on canvas, and nature is her muse. Butterflies and wildflowers are a passion that frequently show up in her work, as do the Lake Simcoe sunsets from our wonderful lake.

She has been exhibiting her work locally for many years; the Georgina Art Gallery, and the Orillia Gallery of Art & History are a couple of the many places where Ellen has displayed her art.
