I am a retired teacher who took up painting about five years ago. My friend, Linda Hobson, who was an amazing and accomplished artist, encouraged me to paint and offered to help teach me. I fell in love with the art. I love working with vivid colours and making the usual, unusual. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects and trying new techniques. However, bright colours are what I love. I am happy to take on commissions as well as painting what moves me.
