Georgina resident Ellen Downe is a graduate of Georgian College Design Arts. She is currently painting in acrylic and oil on canvas, with occasional ventures into quilting, and nature is her muse.

Her paintings are unframed, on gallery-wrapped canvas. Butterflies and wildflowers are a passion that frequently show up in her work, and also Lake Simcoe sunsets from our wonderful lake.

You can find her work at the Georgina Art Gallery in Sutton, and the Georgina Studio Tour in September. She will also be displaying some work at Michelle’s Framing, in Keswick, in the near future.
